Special thanks

We’d like to offer our heartfelt thanks to the following organisations and individuals for their generosity in providing event facilities, spot prizes, and other cool stuff which makes Oceania a better experience for everyone.

Landowners

Orienteering events are only ever possible thanks to the generosity of the landowners. Without them we’d have nowhere for you to run, so we are deeply grateful to Ernslaw One forest management, Massey University Palmerston North and Forest Enterprises for making this event possible.

We’d also like to thank Ngā Wairiki—Ngāti Apa for allowing us to park on iwi land at the middle distance, and Kym Skerman from Red Kiwi Orienteers for allowing us to use her land for parking at the long distance. Ngā mihi mutunga kore.

Ernslaw One manage Santoft Forest, which is the location for our Middle, Long and Relay events as well as the model map.

Special thanks to Southern North Island Forestry Manager Aaron Calvert, and forester Arnaud Frehel.

Massey University has locations across New Zealand. Their Palmerston North campus is the setting for our Sprint event.

Special thanks to David Thompson and his staff at Security, Campus OHS Advisor Rhea Hazners, grounds staff Gary Mack & David Fulton, and the staff at the Recreation Centre.

Forest Enterprises manage Waitārere Forest, the location of one of our training maps.

Special thanks to Forest Access Coordinator Dave Reid, and Forest Operations Manager Chris Hawthorne.
