Oceania orienteering
Oceania orienteering events are hosted every two years in New Zealand. Australia alternately host the event, so there is an Oceania Championships event held annually.
The events reflect the terrain for the coming year’s World Orienteering Champs (WOC) terrain. So Oceania 2024 will feature sprint events to enable Oceania athletes preparation and competition in the lead-up to the WOC with a sprint focus.
Various clubs host Oceania with operational support from Orienteering NZ. In 2024 Orienteering Auckland and Orienteering Taranaki are putting in a tremendous amount of effort to prepare for the Oceania Sprint Champs 2024.
