About

Your hosts

Oceania Orienteering Championships 2025 are hosted in Aotearoa New Zealand by the orienteering clubs of the southern North Island. From North to South, we are Orienteering Taranaki, Hawke’s Bay Orienteering Club, Red Kiwi Orienteers, Orienteering Hutt Valley, and of course the organisers at Orienteering Wellington.

If you have questions, please get in touch!

Oceania 2025 is supported and sanctioned by Orienteering New Zealand (ONZ) and the International Orienteering Federation (IOF). We’re indebted to both governing bodies for their help in ensuring the Oceania Orienteering Championships continue to be world class events.

The terrain

Oceania 2025 features forest events, to give elite orienteers a chance to train and compete on suitable terrain as part of their preparation for WOC in the forests of Finland, later in the year.

But you definitely don’t need to be an elite athlete to enjoy your time in the forest – orienteering is for everyone, and Oceania 2025 has courses suitable for all fitness levels and navigation abilities.
