Ratapihipihi’s farmland was the setting for Orienteering Taranaki’s warm-up long distance today. With longer courses and steeper terrain, it’s interesting to see that the competition for first place in the elite classes was still pretty close. In M21E, Felix Hunt took the win, not quite a minute ahead of David Stocks. Ryan Stocks was third, only a handful of seconds ahead of Nathan Borton. The W21E places were a little further apart, with Katherine Babington first, followed by Zara Stewart (+1.30) and Hanne Hilo (+3.50).
Elsewhere, Marquita Gelderman continued to have a great weekend with another commanding lead in W55A. In W45A, Stacey Colbourne achieved the same thing, with Ocean Mercier taking second place both days.
